Scott IS Vision Statement
The Scott vision is to have 1) students achieve academically and grow socially and emotionally, 2) staff thrive professionally, and 3) parents engage with their children educationally with their children and socially/emotionally.
Scott IS Mission Statement
The Scott mission is to develop, use, and maintain organizational principles, policies, procedures, and practices that enable the district to realize its vision effectively and efficiently.
Scott Intermediate School, constructed in 1956 as a junior high school. In 1966, an addition to Scott School was built for a warehouse and space for Central Staff Offices. In 1967, Scott was converted to an elementary school. Most of Scott was destroyed by fire on August 13, 1989. The school was reconstructed as a middle school and, in the fall of 1992, began serving students in grades 7 and 8. A new school was constructed in 1997.
Our Namesake - Major General Charles Lewis Scott
Scott Intermediate School is named after Major General Charles Lewis Scott, a former Armored Center Commander (1943-45).
School Improvement Goals
GOAL 1: Academic Goals:
Students will have high academic achievement in math and literacy.
1.1 Â Math Achievement: Achieve a school-wide score of at least 5 points (45%) above the multi-year average for each year from SY23 to SY25 prospectively.
Grade 5 will achieve a score of at least 6 points (38%) above the multi-year average for each year from SY23 to SY25.
Grade 6 will achieve a score of at least 3 points (38%) above the multi-year average for each year from SY23 to SY25.
1.2 Â Literacy Achievement: Achieve a school-wide score of at least 5 points (38%) above the multi-year average for each year from SY23 to SY25.
Grade 5 will achieve a score of at least 6 points (38%) above the multi-year average for each year from SY23 to SY25.
Grade 6 will achieve a score of at least 3 points (38%) above the multi-year average for each year from SY23 to SY25.
GOAL 2: Thriving Staff
2.1 Teachers will have strong pedagogical skills, knowledge, and ability.
- Achieve a school-wide score of at least 65% for indictors12, respectively, for each year over the period SY23/24 to SY25/26.
- Achieve a school-wide percent observed score of at least 86% and 86%, for indictors 5.d and 5.e., respectively, for each year over the period SY23/24 to SY25/26.
2.2 Â Staff will have high emotional well-being and be socially connected to our District stakeholders.
- Achieve a school-wide score of at least 87% for each year over the period SY23/24 to SY25/26.ther District stakeholders.
GOAL 3: Parent Engagement
3.1  Parents will be informed about and involved in their child’s learning.
- Achieve a school-wide percent observed score of at least 68%,70%, and 55% for questions 1, 2 and 3, respectively, for each year over the period SY23-25.
